Samuel L. Jackson Weighs in on Mace Windu is Snoke Star Wars Theory

Back in September, we saw a video explaining the Star Wars theory that claims Supreme Leader Snoke is in fact Mace Windu, and now, Samuel L. Jackson, the actor who played the purple lightsaber-wielding Jedi in the prequels, is weighing in on the theory.

According to the theory, Mace Windu survived the fall in Revenge of the Sith, and somehow transformed into Supreme Leader Snoke, the villain introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. When Jackson was asked by ET what he thought about the theory, he said:

"I'm not a part of that rumor or theory. I would like for Mace Windu to just be Mace Windu. I'm of the idea that Jedi can fall from enormous heights and still survive. The fact that he cut his hand off is not a big deal [either]. There are a lot of one-handed Jedi or Jedi with robotic or enhanced hands in that world. So hopefully I can be one of them."

Jackson is still interested in reprising his role, and he did say that his character is still alive. We've seen dozens of theories explaining the true identity of Snoke, linking him to various characters from the previous Star Wars films, but it's likely that Snoke is actually a new character in the new Star Wars trilogy. Maybe we'll find out more about his origins and identity when Star Wars: Episode VIII hits theaters on December 15, 2017.
