Back in 2008, the Iron Man film was released which was the foundation of the beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe. It has introduced many superheroes over the years, and while everyone struggles to pick their favorite Avenger out of all the amazing characters, Samuel L. Jackson has a clear pick.

When asked by The Hollywood Reporter, the actor joked about it first. "Nick Fury, because he's me," Jackson said with a laugh. However, he quickly takes it back and said, "Actually, it's Black Widow."

Jackson shared the screen as Nick Fury with Iron Man first, but his character worked closely with Natasha Romanoff, which makes her his favorite Avenger. Scarlett Johansson played the character in Iron Man, and went on to reprise her role in more MCU films. Now, Black Widow is finally getting her own solo film.

While Fury has worked closely with Black Widow, Jackson revealed that his character won't be in the standalone film. That said, he did mention that Natasha has always been his "favorite." "‘Cause I recruited her, you know, she was around," he said. "She's, uh, she's like the person I was closest to, and all the others were fine."

Black Widow was originally set for release on May 1, but was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Scarlett Johansson feature will now hit theaters on November 6, 2020.
