I believe it goes without saying that Samuel L. Jackson has seemingly done everything there is to do in the world of acting but there's one franchise that he's yet to enter and that's the DC universe. Naturally, being the franchise player that he is, having appeared in Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, you would think that he'd be a good fit for the DCEU but turns out, the decorated actor doesn't see himself joining the franchise.

Appearing on Josh Horowitz's Happy Sad Confused podcast, the star of the upcoming MCU spinoff show Secret Invasion revealed why he wants no part of the DC franchise while delivering a scathing remark about Marvel's "competition". A self-confessed comic book fanatic, Jackson pretty much suggested that DC is not interesting enough to convince him to jump ship.

The Mace Windu and Nick Fury actor explains: "But I dunno that I’m going to read a DC script that’s gonna make me go, ‘yeah, this is dope!’ cause you expect things to happen, because… look, I’m a comic book fan. I’ve been reading comic books forever."

Well, to be fair, I totally understand where Jackson's skepticism is coming from because let's face it, the DC franchise has been struggling in terms of consistency since its inception. Or maybe he's just too loyal to the MCU that the idea of him joining the "other" team seems sacrilegious to him. I gotta say though, there are plenty of characters from the DC universe he could do justice to but I guess we're never going to see it.

Meanwhile, Marvel Studios' Secret Invasion has yet to get an official release date.
