Sam Raimi Wants to Make a New Evil Dead Film with Bruce Campbell

Younger fans might know him for the Spider-Man films from the early ‘2000s but to many, Sam Raimi will always be known for the Evil Dead series. Starting out like a horror movie, it was soon turned into a campy action series that had horror elements and Bruce Campbell. The series has attempted to have a revival multiple times, from a straight-up horror reboot to the comedic tv with Bruce Campbell series that was canceled not too long ago.

Well, it looks like Raimi is at it again since he has discussed bringing the series back, with Bruce Campbell in the lead (again). Ash vs The Evil Dead was the last time we saw this franchise back but Raimi wants to bring it back on a bigger scale.

Here is what Raimi told Bloody Disgusting:

"I'd love to make another one. I don't think TV is in its future but we're talking about – Bruce, Rob and myself – one or two different ways to go for the next movie. We'd like to make another Evil Dead feature and in fact we're working on some ideas right now."
"I would be thrilled if Bruce Campbell changed his mind about retirement, would come back for the original Evil Dead line. But if not, I'm very happy to work with, if Fede Álvarez would come back and make the sequel… but he's such a big shot now. He's so successful, an artist in demand, that I don't think he'd want to do that."
