Sam Neill Confirms Jurassic Park Trio Will Play Major Role in Jurassic World: Dominion

The upcoming Jurassic World: Dominion might be led by Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard but that doesn't mean that they're the only major players in the highly anticipated sequel. In addition to bigger dinosaurs, the film will give a huge role to the original trio who first encountered the creatures in the first place. At least, that's what Sam Neill wants us to believe.

Neill recently spoke to Yahoo! Movies about his new film Ride Like A Girl but he also made sure to tease on his role in the next Jurassic World movie. Interestingly, Neill pointed out that he will be getting into the action along with Jurassic Park co-stars Jeff Goldblum and Laura Dern in Dominion.

"We're all the way through the film, Jeff, and me, and Laura," Neill said. However, don't expect the veteran actors to be getting into too much action. Neill added that he "probably won't be running quite as fast as I was 27 years ago."

We're hoping that Neill's character Dr. Alan Grant, Dern's Ellie Satler, and Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm will be able to get through the film without having to deal with too many dinosaurs. Perhaps it's best to leave the running to the new characters after all.

Neill had previously admitted that he is eager to get back to work on Dominion since production on the film was shut down due to the coronavirus outbreak. Luckily, the movie is expected to resume filming soon so stay tuned for more updates on the Colin Trevorrow movie.

Jurassic World: Dominion is scheduled for release on June 11, 2021.
