Salma Hayek Teases Larger Eternals vs Deviants Plan

We're already expecting a major battle between the Eternals and the Deviants in Eternals this November. However, it looks like we'll be seeing more than just one big fight between these immortal warriors. Salma Hayek may have revealed that there is a bigger plan for the Eternals in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The official trailer for Eternals confirmed that the immortal warriors didn't join the fight against Thanos because they were warned not to interfere unless the Deviants were involved. But now, the Deviants are back and they are set to wreak havoc on Earth.

But does this mean that Eternals is a one-shot film? Hayek spoke to Screenrant on the set of the film and the Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard star revealed that Marvel Studios has a greater plan for the Eternals and the Deviants.

"We are here because we are trying to protect humanity from the Deviants and maybe give them the strength to be able to protect themselves on their own," Hayek said of the Eternals' mission.

It certainly sounds like the Eternals are ready to interfere in their own way and make sure that humanity knows how to fight against the Deviants. With that in mind, fans are hopeful this means there will be another film showing how they prepare humans for another battle against the Deviants.

Eternals is directed by Chloe Zhao and boasts of an all-star cast including Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, and Angelina Jolie. The film will premiere in theaters on November 5, 2021.
