The future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still unclear but fans are hoping that we'll be seeing more of the Avengers soon. So is it possible that Avengers 5 is already in the works? Eternals producer Nate Moore has shared exciting plans for the next Avengers movie.
Comicbook.com spoke with Moore on the set of Eternals where he was asked if Marvel Studios is already setting up another Avengers movie with its current slate of projects. Interestingly, the producer somehow suggested that the film series concluded with Avengers: Endgame.
"I think you can, or you can not, you know what I mean?" Moore said. "And I think, Avengers 4 was called Endgame for a reason. We haven't really talked in a real way about what an Avengers 5 would be even."
Although it sounds like there isn't hope for Avengers 5, Moore then added that there are ways that the movie could happen.
"I think we can have it either way if we want," he said. "We could build towards it or we could just say, 'Hey, here's a standalone Avengers movie.' And I think as long as the story was strong and interesting enough people will come and see it."
For now, Marvel Studios has not yet confirmed whether Avengers 5 is happening. After all, the studio is known for being very secretive about its projects. Still, fans are not giving up on the hope that a new Avengers team will be formed and will eventually get their own film. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

In the meantime, Moore's latest project Eternals is directed by Chloe Zhao and boasts of an all-star cast including Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Lia McHugh, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Ridloff, Barry Keoghan, Don Lee, Harish Patel, Kit Harington, Salma Hayek, and Angelina Jolie.
Eternals will premiere in theaters on November 5, 2021.
