Melissa Joan Hart has made several hit series in her career, but it can’t be denied that one of the most famous is Sabrina The Teenage Witch. So, will she be open to reprising her role as Sabrina Spellman in the possible reboot?

Fans have already seen a Sabrina The Teenage Witch reboot on Netflix, led by Kiernan Shipka. However, as they say, nothing beats the original, especially the first Sabrina character, Hart. So, will fans again see her taking the role 19 years after the original show ended?

Melissa Joan Hart Believes Sabrina The Teenage Witch Reboot May Not Work

In an interview with E! News, Hart gave an honest question about the show’s possible reboot, which she said might not work today as it might not have the same impact as the original.

“I just don’t think it would be as great as the original. I just don’t think there’s any way,” she said. “People are nostalgic for what they had. Trying to recreate that can be really difficult, as we’ve seen.”

The 46-year-old also addressed the popular idea about the possible Sabrina The Teenage Witch reboot.

“Everybody talks about her and Harvey have a baby, and the baby finds out she’s got powers or something. That was done with [Bewitched spinoff] Tabitha,” she continued. “That’s been done a lot. If someone can figure out a different way in, that’d be great.”

Sabrina The Teenage Witch Reboot, Not an Easy Thing to Do

Meanwhile, in a different interview with Associated Press, via ComingSoon, Hart revealed she was to open a possible reboot. However, she couldn’t make it like Sabrina, pointing her finger and making it happen in a snap.

“There’s so much red tape,” she stated. “Who owns it? Who would pay for it? What network would it be on?”

She, too, explained that she would only be interested in doing a revival if it were the right way to do it.

“I feel like so many of these reboots were done wrong, so many were rushed, so many were not well thought out,” she continued. “And the thing is, sometimes it’s just that the fans, they think they want it, but the fanfiction is so much better.”
