Ryan Reynolds Says There Could Be A Deadpool 3

It looks like the odds of Deadpool fans getting a third Deadpool movie's gotten a whole lot higher now that the Deadpool sequel 's just a few days away from its big release.

A few weeks ago, Deadpool 2 star Ryan Reynolds told various news outlets that it was quite unlikely that 20th Century Fox would bring out Deadpool 3. According to the studio's Merc with a Mouth, there'd be little room for a third solo movie after the Deadpool franchise would bring out its first X-Force film.

Now, speaking in an interview with Variety at the international opening of Deadpool 2, Reynolds says that Deadpool 3 is still "down the road" even though Fox is focused on working on an X-Force movie.

"There are talks of an X-Force film, which isn't really Deadpool 3 because it's a group effort. But Deadpool 3…we'll see. Down the road, we'll figure it out," the Canadian actor explained during the interview.

It definitely makes sense that Reynolds would want a separate Deadpool 3. Sure the Merc with a Mouth might be up to the same shenanigans in X-Force, but the film would still end up being a group movie where screen time is divided between members of the team.

Deadpool 2 is scheduled to premiere this Friday, May 18.
