Ryan Reynolds Has X-Men Star Leaving After Crashing Reunion

It might have been a while since Disney's acquired 21st Century Fox and the studio's film and television assets, yet Marvel has to announce its plans for the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Deadpool and all of the mutant heroes that comes with the studios' merger.

Patiently waiting for Marvel to develop his third Deadpool movie, Merc with a Mouth star Ryan Reynolds has decided to spend his time playing hijinks on X-Men actors instead.

Crashing a virtual X-Men reunion on ET Canada with Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Famke Janssen, Halley Berry, and Ian McKellan, Reynolds reminisced about the short time he had in 21st Century Fox's hit mutant franchise.

The actor even invited recent X-Men movie actors James McAvoy and Sophie Turner. The reunion was surprisingly short lived. As charming as Reynolds is, the actors began to leave the virtual reunion after celebrating the "heroic acts of healthcare and other essential workers."

At the end of the video, only Reynolds and Jackman were left on the line. Then, Reynolds brought in Live Schreiber, declaring the X-Men Origins reunion complete.

It's a cute little bit, one that reminds fans that Marvel is going to have to move on and integrate the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While Disney has promised to keep Reynolds as Deadpool, the studio is going to have to recast other major roles like Wolverine, Professor X, Storm, Jean Grey, and all the other X-Men.

Fans have been throwing the names of different actors and actresses around on social media, though Marvel has yet to announce its plans for the franchise.

Phase 4 of the MCU is set to begin when Black Widow premieres on November 6, 2020.
