We know for a fact that Deadpool is on his way to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it's just a matter of time before we see him in action. The only question is, when and where will he make his highly-anticipated debut? Well, according to the latest rumors, the Merc with a Mouth is making his first MCU appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In fact, he was allegedly spotted on the latest poster for the Benedict Cumberbatch-led film hiding in plain sight.

Now, Ryan is breaking his silence regarding the matter. Speaking with Variety about his rumored cameo appearance in the Doctor Strange sequel, Reynolds immediately put the rumors to rest and said that he's not in any way involved in the project. A part of his comment says: "Yeah I don’t, I’m not really supposed— I guess I’m not really supposed to say anything about that but I’m really not in the movie."

Reynolds later added that he could be lying about his initial statement before reiterating that we won't be seeing Wade Wilson in the film. He continued: "I could be lying, but I promise you I’m not in the movie."

When you think about it, Reynolds' statement seems easy to buy into because it's hard to imagine where the fourth-wall-breaking character would fit in on a film as serious as Multiverse of Madness. Then again, if Andrew Garfield could lie about his Spider-Man: No Way Home involvement, so could Ryan so I guess we'll just have to watch the film and see for ourselves.

Meanwhile, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is slated for release on May 6, 2022.
