Ryan Reynolds 'Dumps' Hugh Jackman for Stray Kids' Bang Chan

It looks like Ryan Reynolds has found a new BFF. The Deadpool star has publicly announced that Hugh Jackman is no longer on his good side as he declares Bang Chan of K-pop group Stray Kids as his "new favorite Australian".

It all started when Stray Kids did a Deadpool-inspired performance on the show Kingdom: Legendary War. Chan, whose real name is Christopher Chan, would later put on a Deadpool mask while doing a live broadcast for his fans. Not surprisingly, the Stray Kids leader, who is an Australian who moved to South Korea to pursue a musical career, also admitted that he's a huge fan of Reynolds.

The Chan's Room VLive antics immediately caught Reynolds' attention so he decided to send Chan an autographed bottle of gin. Interestingly, the 6 Underground star also pointed out that he is a fan of the K-pop group and added a shady hashtag. Check it out below.

The #NewFavouriteAustralian hashtag is obviously a dig at Jackman, who was previously declared as the "favorite Australian." Interestingly, Chan was pleased with the position but also wanted to apologize to Jackman for taking the coveted spot.

Chan's message is made even more endearing considering that he has admitted to being a fan of Jackman's. Let's just hope that the Logan actor isn't too upset about this change.

Reynolds' latest project Red Notice is expected to premiere on Netflix later this year. Meanwhile, Jackman is currently preparing for the Broadway debut of the musical The Music Man. Chan and Stray Kids are still competing on the South Korean musical show Kingdom: Legendary War.
