Let's face it, the Coronavirus situation sucks and though a number of us can just stay at home, there are a lot of other people who still have to work in groceries, hospitals, and other stores that handle our needs. It can be a hard and thankless job, especially since there are a lot of people who are only heading to the groceries now like it's some kind of big emergency. Ryan Reynolds, thankfully, has some terrible comedy to make us feel better.
While a lot of people might get annoyed at the fact that an A-list celebrity with millions of dollars is trying to cheer up fans with a hilarious take on the Green Lantern oath on Instagram, keep in mind that he and wife Blake Lively have already donated money to help stop COVID-19 so they get a pass. Anyway, he uses the classic Green Lantern oath and messes it up to make it anti-Coronavirus, which is amusing, at the very least.
Believe it or not, there are actually a number of people who defend Reynolds' Green Lantern film, which is a bit absurd. Granted, there are much worse movies than this one but there are also much better superhero films, whether they're from DC or Marvel. Anyway, even Reynolds himself seems to hate the movie as he makes fun of it any chance he gets, whether it's this Instagram post or Deadpool 2.
Reynolds won't be Green Lantern anytime soon so don't expect him to don the ring anytime soon, despite a brief clip of the film playing in Crisis on Infinite Earths. HBO Max did confirm a new Green Lantern project so that should please a lot of people.
