A few weeks after letting fans down at D23 Expo 2022, Marvel Studios is making it up big time to the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom. Ryan Reynolds himself confirmed major news for Deadpool 3 on social media and it turns out that the Merc with a Mouth will finally be teaming up with a beloved mutant on the big screen, and it's none other than Wolverine.

Of course, the biggest bombshell that came from the announcement is the jaw-dropping confirmation that Hugh Jackman will once again be unleashing his adamantium claws to play Logan one more time. The Australian actor has been the subject of several rumors over the last couple of months and apparently, all that teasing he did on social media actually meant something and most of us had no clue.

However, despite the obvious excitement from the fandom over Jackman's upcoming MCU debut, Logan's return raised a ton of questions that thankfully, both Ryan and Hugh are ready to answer.

Taking to social media, the duo posted an explanation video to ease their confusion. Of course, in true MCU fashion, they weren't able to spoil much and most of what they said was masked with music from Wade Wilson's favorite band Wham! Check it out here:

It'll be interesting to see how Jackman's Wolverine return will affect the upcoming X-Men reboot but it's safe to assume that Marvel Studios is still looking to cast a brand new actor for the role. Hopefully, we get to see him wear Logan's classic suit from the comics.

Marvel Studios' Deadpool 3 is slated for release on September 6, 2024.
