RWBY Ice Queendom: What Is It About?
Like the original anime-style animated series by Rooster Teeth, RWBY: Ice Queendom is a science fantasy work unfolding in the fictional world of Remnant, where people's negative feelings give birth to terrifying monsters.
The only people equipped to deal with them are Hunters and Huntresses, who possess semblances of magic that allow them to participate in complex, stylized fights.
The show will follow Ruby Rose, her sister Yang and their classmates Weiss and Blake in their first steps as Huntresses in training in Beacon Academy.
The adaptation was taken over by Studio Shaft whose precedent with works such as Puella Magi Madoka Magica makes them ideal to tackle material that is both cute and surprisingly dark.

The release day for RWBY: Ice Queendom Episode 1 had been confirmed as Sunday the 3rd of July 2022, but the first three episodes were released early on Crunchyroll and the Rooster Teeth website on the 24th of June instead.
