Russo Brothers Think Keanu Reeves Should Play Moon Knight

It's no secret that Marvel Studios has wanted to bring in Keanu Reeves for a truly special role. But who should the John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum star play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Avengers: Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo agree that Reeves should portray Moon Knight.

The Russo brothers recently spoke to Kevin Smith for an IMDb interview. The Avengers: Infinity War co-directors were asked who they think Reeves should portray in the MCU. Anthony quickly said, "That's a good question," while Joe stated that, "it's limitless" before asking the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot filmmaker for his opinion.

Naturally, Smith said Reeves should play Moon Knight and Joe immediately agreed. "Right, that's a good call," he said.

This isn't the first time that someone suggested that Reeves should portray Marc Spector. Marvel writer Dan Slott had previously pointed out that the Matrix actor could easily take on Moon Knight's different personalities. In addition to that, Moon Knight illustrator Bill Sienkiewicz agreed with Slott.

The potential casting of Reeves in the MCU is certainly a hot topic. It had been rumored that the Toy Story 4 star could be joining Chloe Zhao's The Eternals alongside Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden. However, Reeves wasn't included when the cast of the upcoming Marvel film was introduced at San Diego Comic-Con 2019.

It might still take some time before Reeves is officially cast in an MCU movie. For now, it is best to remember that Reeves himself has admitted that he is interested in playing Wolverine.
