Russo Brothers Reveal Older Morgan Stark was Supposed to Appear in Avengers: Endgame

It was rumored before that 13 Reasons Why's Katherine Langford was supposed to appear in Avengers: Endgame, but she was nowhere to be seen when the film finally came out. As it turns out, she was supposed to be playing an older Morgan Stark.

Talking during an episode of the Happy, Sad, Confused podcast, the Russos revealed that Tony Stark was supposed to have a vision in the Soul Realm just like Thanos did with Gamora in Infinity War. The scene was apparently cut because test audiences couldn't connect the older Morgan Stark with the young one that was introduced in the movie.

If anything, I thought the writers had wonderfully capped everything off with Stark saying, "I am Iron Man." It really brought the character full circle since the first film, and it was the perfect comeback to Thanos' "I am inevitable."

Though Avengers: Endgame did culminate everything from the past 11 years, the real end of Marvel Phase 3 is Spider-Man: Far From Home. In Far From Home, we'll actually get to see the aftermath of Endgame, and we'll get to follow Peter Parker as he navigates life after everyone was brought back post-Snap.

Adrift in space with no food or water, Tony Stark sends a message to Pepper Potts as his oxygen supply starts to dwindle. Meanwhile, the remaining Avengers -- Thor, Black Widow, Captain America, and Bruce Banner -- must figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies for an epic showdown with Thanos -- the evil demigod who decimated the planet and the universe.

For now, catch Tony Stark's final moments in Avengers: Endgame out in theaters today.
