Rumor: Spider-Man: Far From Home Might Introduce Molten Man

Peter Parker can't seem to stay away from rumored villains in Spider-Man: Far From Home. A new report suggests that Tom Holland's webslinger could get burned by Marvel comic book hothead Molten Man in the highly anticipated sequel.

According to MCU Cosmic, a new toy line that is being produced for Far From Home includes a Molten Man action figure. However, it is important to point out that the toy is being released as part of new Spider-Man merchandise but does not confirm that the villain will be in the film.

In the comic books, Mark Raxton is a former scientist who worked for Oscorp Industries. He tries to steal an experimental liquid metal alloy for his own profit but spills it on himself and decides to take the alter ego, Molten Man. The villain was created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko and has been defeated by Spider-Man numerous times.

Although the idea that Spidey will be facing way too many villains in Far From Home seems far-fetched, it is still possible that Molten Man will have a minor role in the film. The character might be introduced as a mere Easter Egg or a teaser for what we can expect in Sony Universe of Marvel Characters (SUMC) movies. Nevertheless, his appearance has not yet been confirmed so it would be best to take the news with a grain of salt.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is currently in production in Europe. However, the sequel is already scheduled for release on July 5, 2019.
