Rumor: Nicolas Cage Cast as Spider-Man Noir in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

So far, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has confirmed three different Spider-people to appear in the film, but now we have confirmation that one more Spider-Man is joining the story, and rumor has it that he's being voiced by a Marvel veteran.

According to sources of Discussing Film, Nicholas Cage is voicing Spider-Man Noir in the film. We don't know to what extent his role will be, but now I'm guessing even more Spider-people are coming that we haven't even heard of.

Cage had played the character of Johnny Blaze/Ghost Rider for Marvel way back in 2007, and he also provided his voice for Superman in the upcoming Teen Titans GO! film. We don't know if he has his sights set on the MCU, but I would love for him to be a part of the movies. Cage is known for being a fan of comics, and it was even said that he took his name from a certain Power Man a.k.a. Luke Cage—his real surname is Coppola.

If anything, this inclusion in the Spider-Verse could get Cage interested in doing comic book films again. The guy is kind of a weirdo with his roles, but that's what makes him absolutely fun to watch.

Catch Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse when it hits theaters Dec. 14.
