For those who are still waiting for an English version, here’s some good news. The Witch and the Beast English dub has been announced, featuring Rowan Gilvie in the cast along with more notable VAs.

The Witch and the Beast premiered earlier this month, and it has delighted dark fantasy fans with its story so far.

With the Japanese version now on its third episode, details about the show’s dub have finally been shared, including the main cast and release date.

Winter 24 is filled with lots of big shows such as Solo Leveling and Delicious in Dungeon. What also got attention from a certain group of anime fans is The Witch and the Beast.

This new series is produced by Yokohama Animation Laboratory, the studio behind The Kingdoms of Ruin and The Genius Prince's Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt.

The show did not get a simuldub release, though its Japanese version features notable VAs. These include Yo Taichi (Akane in Chainsaw Man) as Guideau and Toshiyuki Morikawa (Kira in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) as Ashaf.

Thankfully for fans who were waiting for the dub, the show’s English version has finally been confirmed, with details about its cast being revealed.

Rowan Gilvie: Her Role in The Witch and the Beast Revealed

Taking the role of Guideau in The Witch and the Beast is Rowan Gilvie, a notable voice actress who has played key roles in several popular shows.

Gilvie is previously credited as Beth Lipton in some earlier shows that she played roles in such as Black Clover, Overlord, and Demon Lord, Retry!

She has since been credited as Rowan Gilvie. Some of her roles include Mizerka in One Piece and Ryoko Toba in Laid-Back Camp.

The Witch and the Beast's Main English Dub Cast Announced

Gilvie is joined by several other English dub VAs, including:

  • Xan Cramer (Gleipnir in Sacrificial Princess and the King of Beasts) as Ashaf
  • Lydia Mackay (Motoko in Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie) as Ione
  • Kelly Greenshield (Kiyosumi in Call of the Night) as Marie
  • Kent Williams (Go Gun-hee in Solo Leveling) as the Narrator

As for its release date, The Witch and the Beast’s first episode is out now in English on Crunchyroll in the US and other select regions.

New episodes of the English dub version will be released every week.
