Rotten Tomatoes Ranks Black Panther As Number 1 Movie Of All Time

Black Panther just keeps winning.

Marvel's first standalone movie's been out for only a few days, but the film's been experiencing wave after wave of commercial and critical success. Not only has the film earned more than $218 million at the domestic box office during its four-day opening weekend, but it's also received quite a number of positive reviews.

Now, according to Rotten Tomatoes,Black Panther is currently the site's highest rated movie of all time. Moving past films like The Wizard of Oz, Get out, Moonlight and The Godfather, Marvel's newest release holds the #1 spot on the review aggregator's list of top 100 movies of all time.

The film also holds the #1 spot in the site's list of top 100 action and adventure movies, beating films like Logan, Dunkirk, and Mad Max: Fury Road.

That's a pretty great feat for Black Panther. However, looking at the lists Black Panther only holds a rating of 97% while others below it hold higher ratings, some which even reach 100%. The reason why Black Panther reached the #1 spot on both lists is because of how the site defines their Adjusted Score, using a specific formula that includes variables like how many reviews a movie has. Black Panther which has 306 reviews and a 97 % rating will come out higher than Inside Out which has 331 reviews and a 98% rating.

Black Panther is currently screening in cinemas.
