A few days removed from The Mandalorian's action-packed Chapter 13 and we're still raving about Rosario Dawson's debut as live-action Ahsoka Tano and for good reason. Initially, fans were a bit skeptical when they learned about Dawson's casting, and in the hearts of many Star Wars fans, only one person had the right to play Ahsoka in the Disney+ series and that's no other than Ashely Eckstein who has served as the iconic voice of Tano all these years.

Obviously, the opinion of the skeptics changed after Dawson nailed her performance in Chapter 13: "The Jedi". Now, fans can't seem to get enough of the character and they're hoping we'll see more of Dawson in the coming episodes and even future seasons of the acclaimed Star Wars spinoff show, and boy, I'd love for that to happen as well.

In case you were worried that there is tension between the two actors, Dawson said in an interview with Vanity Fair that she wanted to honor Eckstein with her performance of Ahsoka. Saying nothing but kind words to Ashley, she shared, "Ashley did a remarkable job. You've seen this character first come into our hearts and minds as a teenager and then evolve, and Ashley has been there the entire way. Seeing how her voice changed, how her energy changed, and to hear the maturity develop in her was just so powerful and so beautiful. I studied it like crazy and tried my best to honor that. And it was just incredible to be able to have such an in-depth performance to the source."

I'm pretty sure I'm speaking for everyone when I say that Rosario surely made Ashley proud with her take on Ahsoka. The great thing about Dawson's portrayal of the famed Star Wars character was that she didn't focus too much on trying to imitate and replicate Eckstein's performance. Rosario came out owning the role and this latest iteration of Ahsoka is both fresh and nostalgic.

That said, The Mandalorian Season 2 is now streaming on Disney+.
