Rosario Dawson Reveals Who Ahsoka Was Talking To About Thrawn's Return

There is little doubt that the Ahsoka teaser had people talking about the new conflicts that Ahsoka Tano will be facing later this year. For instance, the Jedi is shown telling someone about the return of Grand Admiral Thrawn. But is she telling the rest of the Ghost crew or an important figure in the New Republic? Rosario Dawson has confirmed that Ahsoka disclosed the information to someone who could take action.

In the Ahsoka trailer, Ahsoka Tano points out that she can sense that something dark is coming. It isn't until later in the teaser that she confirms that she has been "hearing whispers about Thrawn's return as the heir of the Empire."

Although it is unclear who Ahsoka is speaking to in the scene, Rosario Dawson has since confirmed with Comicbook.com that the information was being relayed to who we were hoping it would be.

"What we're getting from that is, you know, there's been a long-held idea that maybe Grand Admiral Thrawn is dead and that the threat is over and that we've moved on in success, you know, and that really the only hardship is the fact that we had to lose Ezra in the process," Dawson said. She then pointed out that her character had been talking to Mon Mothma in this specific scene.

"But, you know, I think that's what we get a lot of in this trailer. And she's talking with Mon, you know that there's been whisperings that there's been this idea and the continuation, not only from the Rebels but from all of these other places that, like, you know, there's a need to stay vigilant; there's still a threat that's out there," Dawson said.

She continued, "I feel finally glad that we can say it out loud because people have been asking, and I'm like, 'I'm looking for this character,' but now that we've seen him, we realize that he is very much alive and well, and so, you know, the threat is very real, and we need to come back together again to deal with it."

We're certainly hoping that Mon Mothma is prepared to face this threat this August.

Ahsoka will premiere on Disney+ in August 2023.
