Jung Soo Bin has been selected to replace Kim Sae Ron in the upcoming SBS K-drama Trolley.

The rookie actress is in talks to play the lead role in the melodrama, which was initially offered to The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim star.

In a report cited by Osen, Jung Soo Bin's agency confirmed that they "held a meeting" with the network, courting the actress to join the cast.

With this, the talent label said they are positively reviewing the offer.

In the upcoming SBS drama, the story focuses on the marital chaos between the national assembly member and his wife, who has been keeping a secret from him.

Viewers will witness how her secret unfolds and affects the lives of her loved ones.

If the rookie actress officially accepts the offer, she will play the role of Kim Soo Bin and will join My Name's Park Hee Soon, Kim Hyun Joo from Hellbound, Ryu Hyun Kyung and Kim Mu Yeol, who also worked with Jung Soo Bin in Juvenile Justice.

To recall, Jung Soo Bin also appeared in the Netflix series playing the role of juvenile offender Baek Mi Ju, appearing in episodes 7 and 8.

She also appeared in Kang Daniel and Chae Soo Bin's Rookie Cops and Lee Joon Hyuk's Dark Hole as one of the bullies.

Jung Soo Bin's casting in Trolley comes after Kim Sae Ron resigns from the drama.

Kim Sae Ron Leaves Trolley and Bloodhounds Following DUI Charges

On May 18, various reports noted that the actress was subject to DUI or driving under the influence of alcohol after Seoul Gangnam Police Station received about six calls notifying them about a car accident in the district of Cheongdam in Gangnam.

The driver, who happens to be Kim Sae Ron, rammed a public property resulting in inconvenience to motorists and the neighborhood.

She was booked for DUI and was under investigation.

At the height of the controversy and statements from her agency, the actress stepped down from the SBS drama Trolley.

As obtained by Soompi, an official from Studio S, the production company behind the upcoming Kdrama revealed the actress's plans.

"Kim Sae Ron's agency expressed her intent to step down along with the apology, so we accepted [the request]."

Following this, the 21-year-old star has also expressed her intentions to leave the forthcoming Netflix series Bloodhounds, where she plays one of the main characters.

In a report cited by Kstartrend, a representative from Netflix confirmed that the actress will no longer participate in the action thriller series.

"After discussions, the production team, actors, and Netflix decided not to participate in the filming schedule that actress Kim Sae Ron was scheduled to do," the official said as obtained by the outlet.

The upcoming Netflix series includes Woo Do Hwan, who just got back from the military, Lee Sang Yi and veteran actors Park Sung Woong, and Heo Joon Ho.
