There is little doubt that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was an awesome film but it also managed to kill off all of the main characters that fans were already rooting for. Nevertheless, Felicity Jones is hoping that she could play Jyn Erso again in the future.
Jones recently spoke to Business Insider where she admitted that she would love to return as Jyn in a Star Wars project.
"I would love to," Jones said when asked if she wants to continue playing Jyn. "She's a tremendous character to play. I adored making the film. Maybe she can be reincarnated."
It may seem unlikely, but we'd truly love to see more of Jones' character. After all, Jyn spent most of her young life under Saw Gerrera's care. It would be awesome to find out how she went from being an innocent child to the tough woman we saw in Rogue One.
Fans have been quick to point out that there is a possibility we could see Jyn in the upcoming Cassian Andor series that will air on Disney+. However, it is important to point out that the new show will serve as a Rogue One prequel and that Cassian didn't meet Jyn until the events in the film. Nevertheless, people are hoping that Jones will have a surprise cameo in the series.
The Cassian Andor show will bring back Diego Luna and Alan Tudyk. Although the series has not yet been given an official release date, it is expected to premiere on Disney+ in 2020.
