Rogue One Star Felicity Jones Open for Star Wars Return

Despite the character's death in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Cassian Andor is still making a return to Star Wars in the form of a prequel series on Disney+. Though Diego Luna is coming back, some wonder if there is any room for a comeback for the film's star Felicity Jones a.k.a. Jyn Erso.

Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Jones was asked for a possible Star Wars comeback to which she replies, "I just keep saying that reincarnation is totally possible in the Star Wars universe. (Laughs). So, I feel there's unfinished business for Jyn, for sure." As for what Jyn's return could be about, Jones says, "I think it would be fascinating to see her getting older and wiser and fighting the dark forces in the universe, of which there are many it seems."

While the thought of Jyn becoming ‘older and wiser' is nice, I think her sacrifice at the end of Rogue One is made more meaningful because it was real. The Cassian Andor series makes sense because it's a prequel, but I don't think a lot of fans would be happy if they made it so that Jyn actually survived the Battle of Scarif.

If you ask me, they can make Jyn cameo at some point in the Andor series. Maybe she could be one of Saw's terrorists if they ever brought him back for an episode. She doesn't even need to be a main part of the story; I'm sure fans would be pleased if she just appeared beside Saw or was in a hologram message.

They could also have Jyn return if Lucasfilm ever decided to #MakeSolo2Happen. How cool would it be to watch her work with Han Solo for Jabba the Hutt? Heck, it would make sense for Han to try and find some work with Saw smuggling fighters.

We don't know if Jyn Erso will ever return, but you can catch The Mandalorian Season 2 now on Disney+.
