Rogue One: A Star Wars Story Streaming On Netflix Soon


Earning more than $1 billion at the global box office and receiving generally positive reviews during its release last year, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story was a successful Star Wars standalone movie that took the world by storm.

Now, Star Wars fans can watch the exciting standalone that puts War in Star Wars all over again because it looks like Rogue One is headed to Netflix in July. The popular online streaming service provider has just announced its full list of releases for next month, and it looks like Netflix is planning to put up Rogue One on the site on July 18.

Joining the successful Star Wars standalone is a set of other great films like E.T. The Extra Terrestrial, the classic Titanic and Spawn.

Of course, while some fans would argue that they already have Blu-Ray and DVD copies of Rogue One to watch over and over again, it's great to see that Netflix is offering the standalone for streaming so that others can enjoy the film too.

Here's a quick synopsis of the movie if you haven't seen Rogue One yet:

Former scientist Galen Erso lives on a farm with his wife and young daughter, Jyn. His peaceful existence comes crashing down when the evil Orson Krennic takes him away from his beloved family. Many years later, Galen becomes the Empire's lead engineer for the most powerful weapon in the galaxy, the Death Star. Knowing that her father holds the key to its destruction, Jyn joins forces with a spy and other resistance fighters to steal the space station's plans for the Rebel Alliance.
