Rogue One: A Star Wars Story EW Covers Feature Jyn Erso, Darth Vader, and the Death Star

As the release of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story approaches, we can expect to see more promotion for Gareth Edwards' film. Yesterday, we saw a couple of TV spots for the film, and now, EW reporter Anthony Breznican revealed two new covers of this week's issue that will feature the Star Wars spin-off. Both covers feature Jyn Erso (played by Felicity Jones), with one cover featuring a Death Star looming behind her, and the other, a Barnes & Noble exclusive, shows Darth Vader behind her.

The EW issue will feature more insight into Rogue One from the cast and crew, an interview with composer Michael Giacchino, and a "talk with the team planning future films about their major meeting in January to mark out films well beyond 2019's Episode IX."

From Lucasfilm comes the first of the Star Wars standalone films, "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," an all-new epic adventure. In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire's ultimate weapon of destruction. This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will be released in theaters on December 16, 2016.
