I think we can all agree that the original RoboCop film series is a cultural phenomenon and it made the cyborg police Alex Murphy a pop culture sensation. Hollywood tried to replicate its success through a 2014 film reboot but to no avail.

Now, over three decades since the first RoboCop film was released, NACON and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer are teaming up to give the franchise its long-overdue rebirth through the upcoming video game RoboCop: Rogue City.

The video game, based on the first three RoboCop movies will be a first-person shooter wherein players get to take on the role of Alex Murphy. Other details about the project are still being kept under wraps and all we know so far is the title is being developed by the good folks over at Teyon, the brilliant minds behind the 2019 game Terminator: Resistance.

The teaser offers fans their first look at "Rogue City" but that's pretty much it. Now, considering the RoboCop films were considered iconic for their graphic violence, it'll be interesting to see if NACON and MGM will go out of their way and turn this game into an R-rated title. I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Check out the teaser trailer here:
