Robin Reportedly Making Appearance In Matt Reeve’s The Batman

DC fans might not expect Robin to appear in Matt Reeve's The Batman knowing that the film features a younger version of the Dark Knight to be played by Twilight's Robert Pattinson, however, there are rumors going around saying that the film may feature Batman's sidekick after all.

Forbes writer Mark Hughes suggests that Dick Grayson may very well appear in The Batman, if not now, then in future films in Reeve's DC franchise. According to the writer, Dick Grayson's origin story may actually be included in one of Warner Brothers' upcoming films.

While the idea of a Robin appearance sounds exciting, it seems unlikely for Dick Grayson to appear in The Batman. The movie that Reeves is making is a noir mystery that features Batman as a detective taking on the Rogue's Gallery of villains. The movie may not have time to squeeze in Robin with so many characters to focus on in the movie.

"I went on a deep dive again revisiting all of my favorite comics. Those all inform by osmosis," the director said in an interview with the press during a Television Critics Association Panel promoting the movie The Passage last summer. "There's no continuation of the Nolan films. It's very much trying to find a way to do this as something that for me is going to be definitively Batman and new and cool."

Of course, anything could happen in The Batman. Perhaps the film could help set up Robin's arrival. Let's wait and see.

The Batman premieres in cinemas on June 25, 2021.
