DC fans might expect to see a bulkier and far more ripped Robert Pattinson for Matt Reeve's The Batman movie, but a new rumor suggests that the Twilight star won't come up to the same size as Ben Affleck did for the DC Extended Universe.
According to a report by Cosmic Book News, Pattinson might not be as jacked for his Batman role as fans expect him to be. Right now, the Lighthouse actor stands at 6' 1'' and weights at around 1650175 lbs. As it turns out, the new DC star is going to take up a program by the same trainer who was in charge of Zachary Levi's program for DC's Shazam!
Levi's trainer, Grant Roberts, was asked by a fan on Twitter whether he would be training the Batman actor for DC. Robert's answer was "in conversation...TBD."
It seems like Pattinson is considering hiring Roberts to become his trainer for The Batman.
If Roberts really does become his trainer, the Cosmic Book News speculates that the Twilight actor may not become as muscled as fans hope. Levi didn't really put on that much muscle for Shazam! Instead, he seemed to have put on a muscle suit for the part.
Pattinson could do the same for his role as DC's new Dark Knight. Affleck might have become pretty jacked, but he didn't gain as much muscle as Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa, the only two DC superheroes that took time to get into superhero shape.
Then again, Batman is a regular man, so Pattinson may not need that much muscle. Michael Keaton and Christian Bale didn't have that much muscle, and they did pretty well.
The Batman premieres June 25, 2021.
