It's hard to believe that it's been two years since Avengers: Endgame came out and the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom is celebrating the groundbreaking comic book film which concluded the decade-long run of the Infinity saga. A lot of people thought that Endgame would signal the beginning of the end for the MCU but if anything, it only ushered in a brand era in the billion-dollar franchise, and lo and behold, we're now in Phase 4.

Of course, what would this celebration be without the guy who a lot of people consider to be the patriarch of the MCU? Iron Man actor Robert Downey Jr. took to social media to reflect on the film's success and impact which was once hailed as the biggest-selling movie of all time.

On Instagram, RDJ unveiled a new behind-the-scenes clip of his scrapped scene which would have seen an all-grown-up Morgan Stark played by Katherine Langford meeting Tony Stark in the soul world following his heroic snap. Downey wrote: "Cannot believe it's been two years since Endgame..." which was then followed by the now-iconic MCU line #LoveYouAll3000. Check it out here:

I know that Downey is currently enjoying his retirement from the Marvel world but with rumors of Chris Evans potentially making his grand comeback to the franchise, would it be too much to ask for RDJ to also make his return? Sure, Tony suddenly rising from his grave will devalue his sacrifice but we're since dealing with the Multiverse here, the actor can still come back as an alternate version of Marvel's genius, playboy, philanthropist.

Avengers: Endgame is available for streaming on Disney+.
