Rivals of Ixalan's Angrath, the Flame Chained & Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca Revealed

As promised last month, Wizards of the Coast has started the official previews for the next Magic: The Gathering set, Rivals of Ixalan. Today, about 13 cards from the upcoming set have been revealed, and they include two mythic rares that players are already talking about online.

The first one is a Rakdos Planeswalker called Angrath, the Flame-Chained:

This might see some play in Red/Black midrange and control decks. Its first ability is great against Control players and its second ability is devastating to your opponent but it costs a lot to activate it. Angrath's ultimate ability is powerful enough to end the game but with cards that empty the graveyard, it might not be as scary as the ultimate of the latest Nicol Bolas card.

And here's the Merfolk Shaman: Kumena, Tyrant of Orazca:

People are already calling it "The Cryptbreaker" of Merfolks but it's arguably worse. Unless the set brings a good amount of playable Merfolks for Standard, this card will probably not see competitive play but I would love to see it work. Getting five Merfolks to use its third ability is hard to pull off but I hope WOTC will release a new card that will make it easier.
