Rick And Morty Season 4 Gets Cameo From Thor: Ragnarok Director Taika Waititi

Rick and Morty fans are having quite a week. Not only did Adult Swim release a couple of first-look images of the fourth season of the networks' popular science fiction animated comedy series, but word's also come out that the fifth batch of episodes is currently in production.

While we're not quite sure about what to expect from Rick and Morty season 4, Entertainment Weekly's recent interview with series creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland reveal some exciting cameos in the show.

Apparently, fans can expect some pretty big names in the next batch of episodes. This includes Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi, as well as Jurassic Park star Sam Neill, Billions' actor Paul Giamatti, and of course classic 80's star Kathleen Turner.

EW tried to shake a bit of more info from Harmon and Roiland, asking whether Neill would be riffing of Event Horizon or Jurassic Park in the next season of Rick and Morty.

"Neither. He's from the same species as Taika's character, and we wanted a Kiwi flavor to their species," Roiland replied candidly.

Unfortunately, the two don't really say much about Taika's character, so we have to wait and see. Waititi's been on quite a roll recently. Marvel also just announced that the director was being brought back to helm Thor 4.

Though it isn't quite surprising to see Waititi being asked to work on another Marvel project given the success of Thor: Ragnarok, we didn't quite expect another Thor movie. Marvel's full of surprises.

Rick and Morty returns with Season 4 on Adult Swim in November.
