Rian Johnson’s Star Wars Trilogy Plot Details Reportedly Leaks Online

There might not have been that much official Star Wars news the past few weeks, however, there are reports saying that the upcoming trilogy by Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson is currently in the early stages of development.

According to a report by We Got This Covered, details about Johnson's planned trilogy have managed to make their way around the rumor mill. Sources have told the entertainment news site that the plot of the filmmaker's new set of Star Wars film will revolve around the Force-sensitive broom boy that fans got to see at the end of The Last Jedi. The trilogy is reportedly going to take place long after the events of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker where Jedi are found in great numbers and Rey (Daisy Ridley) mentors Broom Boy.

Despite the resurgence of the Jedi, Rey's own daughter will become the master of the Sith, leading the equivalent of the Empire and the First Order in the new era of Star Wars.

As with all rumors, we advise fans to take the report with a grain of salt. Johnson has not shared details about his trilogy, and there's been a lot of uncertainty whether or not the project may push through.

If this report is proven true, however, then Johnson's new trilogy will be a direct follow-up to the Disney's Sequel Trilogy. Would it be called a Sequel Sequel trilogy then? We kid.

Whatever it is, we're excited to see what Johnson has to bring to the table after his critically-acclaimed and subversive Star Wars movie, The Last Jedi.

The Skywalker saga is available for streaming on Disney+.
