Rian Johnson Star Wars Trilogy Moves Forward As First Film Gets Production Name

It looks like the new Star Wars trilogy is moving forward. A new report confirms that the first movie of Rian Johnson's new trilogy has been given a production name and could begin filming soon.

There has been a lot of theories surrounding Johnson's Star Wars trilogy. One particular rumor that dogged the films was that they have been cancelled last year. However, the new report confirms that the trilogy is still happening.

According to Fantha Tracks, Disney has registered the production name E&E INDUSTRIES (UK) LIMITED which is expected to be the first film in Johnson's trilogy. Interestingly, a new TV series was also registered in the UK on the same day and is still a huge mystery.

The reveal of the production name doesn't necessarily mean that the movie will immediately begin filming. It is possible that the project is currently in its early development stages and an actual announcement will be made at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration in April.

It is still unclear what the new Star Wars trilogy will be about. There have been speculations that it will follow a new generation of Force users who will be guided by Daisy Ridley's Rey. It's also possible that other characters from the current trilogy will show up in the three movies.

Some fans have been skeptical about the trilogy considering all the backlash from Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Nevertheless, it seems like Johnson is confident about the new saga and how it will pave the future of the Star Wars Universe.
