Rey May Have Actually Flown Boba Fett’s Ship

Rey (Daisy Ridley) might be flying the Millennium Falcon in Lucasfilm's Star Wars sequel trilogy, but a new Star Wars comic shows the Jakku Orphan pilot what seems to be another iconic Star Wars vessel.

Marvel has a new run of Star Wars canon comics that focuses on the heroes and villains of Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy, and in Star Wars: Age of Resistance – Rey we get to see what happens to Rey as she journeys from D'Qar to Ahch-To to search for Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).

In the comic, Rey briefly takes over Boba Fett's Slave I after she and Chewie run into a bit of trouble with the Millennium Falcon. Having a small malfunction with Han's ship, Rey and Chewie decide to make an impromptu visit to a junker shop, and Rey asks to investigate the area for parts that she needs for the Falcon.

However, as the former Jakku Orphan searches the place for parts, she gets attacked by a monster, realizing that the junker has actually been killing unsuspecting pilots with the beast so that he can take their ships away. Luckily, Rey is able to escape the beast by hopping into a nearby ship which looks so much like Boba Fett's Slave I.

It's a fun little cameo – though the comic doesn't really explore the ship's history before arriving at the junkers. We would have loved to learn more about the ship's story too.

Star Wars: Age of Resistance – Rey is currently on sale.

Rey is set to appear in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which premieres on December 20, 2019.
