Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City First Footage Dropped Ahead of Trailer Release

The first trailer for Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City isn't due out until tomorrow but we now have some footage from the upcoming film. A new teaser for the trailer drop reveals our first look at the new movie based on the Capcom video games.

The Welcome to Raccoon Cityteaser was shared by the Sony Pictures official Twitter account to hype up the trailer's upcoming release. It doesn't show a lot of footage but just enough to give fans a glimpse at what to look forward to tomorrow.

The only footage so far shows a woman in a window closing the drapes, a Zombie Dog getting ready to attack, and a brief glimpse at Lisa Trevor shushing someone. We don't see any of the main characters just yet but there is little doubt that there will be more of that in the first trailer.

Welcome to Raccoon City will be based on the first and second Resident Evil games. It also serves as a reboot to the Resident Evil movies featuring Milla Jovovich. This time, the film will focus on characters who appear in the video games like Leon S. Kennedy, Claire Redfield, Jill Valentine, and Ada Wong.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City is directed by Johannes Roberts and stars Kaya Scodelario, Hannah John-Kamen, Robbie Amell, Tom Hopper, Avan Jogia, Donal Logue, and Neal McDonough. The first trailer will be dropped on September 7, 2021, while the movie is scheduled for theatrical release on November 24, 2021.
