Resident Evil Season 2 Promises the Arrival of Major Video Game Character

Netflix's Resident Evil series is finally out and the eight episodes focused on mostly new characters who have never appeared in the Capcom video games. However, that's going to change in the second season. Showrunner Andrew Dabb has just confirmed the arrival of a major video game character in Resident Evil Season 2! WATCH OUT, RESIDENT EVIL SEASON 1 SPOILERS AHEAD!

In Resident Evil Season 1 Episode 8, Jade and Billie Wesker decide to leave New Raccoon City with Bert Wesker, one of the many Albert Wesker clones in the series. But before they leave, the girls get a note from their father Al Wesker (another Albert clone) telling them to look for "Ada Wong."

It's an awesome name drop that initially sounds like a cool reference to the video games. However, Andrew Dabb assures that it is more than just a little Easter egg. The showrunner has just confirmed with Screenrant that Resident Evil Season 2 would "100 percent" see Ada Wong make an appearance.

Ada Wong was first introduced in Resident Evil 2 back in 1998 and quickly proved to be one of the most interesting characters in the video games. As a spy who has worked with numerous clients, Ada is easily able to handle difficult tasks and has collected a vast amount of information. Needless to say, Ada is the one character who might be able to help Jade and Billie in Resident Evil Season 2.

We're loving the idea that Ada Wong will show up in Resident Evil Season 2. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether the series will be renewed for a second season. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

All eight episodes of the first season of Resident Evil are now streaming on Netflix.
