Resident Evil 3 Remake Will Take Up More Space Than its Predecessor

Resident Evil 3 remake might have been leaked ahead of its official announcement but fans are still pretty pumped to know that this fan-favorite game is coming back with better visuals and much better gameplay. It's also really neat to know that getting this game will also come with the previously announced Resident Evil: Resistance, a 4-on-1 multiplayer title that will have four humans teaming up to take on one mastermind and his various monsters.

It turns out that this game is going to be heftier than 2019's Resident Evil 2 remake as the Microsoft Store currently lists the remake at a whopping 43GB, which is almost twice the size of its predecessor. This does make sense since Resident Evil 3 is a much bigger game than 2, giving fans a bigger setting to explore and more monsters to kill. Add the multiplayer mode and it's easy to see why this would weigh more.

While the game won't do anything groundbreaking gameplay-wise, it will be interesting to see how they update the story of Resident Evil 3 for modern audiences. Capcom has given Jill some good old PTSD that should play a role in the game and her worrying about becoming a zombie could be a new mechanic, though it looks more like a story-oriented scene than anything else.

Fans will be able to purchase Resident Evil 3 remake on April 3.
