Zack Snyder continues to tease us what could have been in his original cut of Justice League, and his most recent photo gives us a better look at Darkseid/Uxas. It's during the big battle flashback, and Snyder himself teases a fight with David Thewlis' Ares.

While the battle scene in the theatrical release lasted for only a few minutes, it's speculated that Snyder's original version would have lasted longer—with more screentime given to the various Olympian gods who were also part of the fight. What's more, the story would not come from Diana, but rather a hologram sequence from Cyborg.
For now, WB has not made any official announcements when it comes to the release of the Snyder Cut of Justice League. Based on what we understand, the cut of the film is finished, but the CG definitely needs to be polished up. Besides that, it needs to find a way to be distributed in the mainstream channels. While fans think that a theatrical release could be too much, everyone thinks it would be the best move on WB's part to release the Snyder Cut as an HBO Max exclusive.
Though the Snyder Cut movement has some naysayers, a lot of people are holding out hope that we'll eventually get to watch what Snyder was originally planning for the film. In a time where the DCEU is slowly getting back on its feet, WB is tossing coins on whether they should just push forward and forget what came before or give fans what they've been asking for—a move that proved disastrous in the past.
No official announcement has been made for the Snyder Cut of Justice League.
