What Is Reincarnated as a Sword About?
Unlike other isekai anime in which the main character is transported to assume another identity, Reincarnated as a Sword revolves around a protagonist who reincarnates as a sentient sword!
What began in 2015 as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website became a light novel series published by Micro Magazine in 2016.
Because of its popularity, Tomowo Maruyama adapted the web novel into a manga series. But originally, Reincarnated as a Sword was a fantasy and isekai novel written by Tanaka Yuu.
Reincarnated as a Sword, also known as I Became the Sword by Transmigrating, is a story about a man who gets reincarnated as a sword.
In a new fantasy world, a nameless protagonist is reborn as a sentient sword after dying in a car accident.
There, the protagonist was called by the name of "Master," as the former cat slave, Fran, decided to wield him.
When the catgirl’s caravan gets attacked by a two-headed bear, it is up to Fran to use Master to save her life and flee from her captors.
Thus begins the master-student relationship between our two unlikely protagonists!
What Studio Is Producing Reincarnated as a Sword?
Reincarnated as a Sword is being produced by studio C2C (Challenge to Challenge).
Studio C2C is a Japanese animation studio based in Tokyo. It was established on April 3, 2006 by its parent company, Triple-A.
Apart from Reincarnated as a Sword, C2C is also working on Edomae Elf, Shangri-la Frontier, and Handyman Saitou in Another World.
Furthermore, studio C2C is best known for producing anime shows such as Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy, Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina, Harukana Receive, and Hitoribocchi no Marumaru Seikatsu.
The anime studio has also given their assistance to work on anime shows such as A Certain Scientific Railgun, Fairy Tail, The World God Only Knows, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure 2012, and Snow White with the Red Hair.
