Redo of Healer Episode 10: The Healer Becomes a Single, Lovely Flower! - Anime Review
2 out of 10

At the end of Episode 9 of Redo of Healer: The Healer Takes Revenge for a Meal!, Keyaru, the revenge-driven healing magician, becomes furious when he discovers his next targets for vengeance: Princess Norn, her army, and Blade (You can read my full review of Episode 9 here), so Episode 10 of this dark fantasy series reveals his next moves, and it's pretty twisted.

Warning: Spoilers from Redo of Healer Episode 10:  The Healer Becomes a Single Lovely Flower! ahead!

From the episode's title, The Healer Becomes a Single, Lovely Flower!, you'd wonder how Keyaru, a.k.a. Keyarga becomes a "single, lovely flower!", and by the first half of the episode, we learn why: Keyaru decides to use himself as bait to entice Blade, who I initially thought as a feminine young man, but she's actually a muscular woman). It turns out that the overpowered healer can also magically change his appearance into a lovely woman.

Keyaru thought about the idea of using Freia as bait, but he thought about the risk of Blade recognizing her true identity (Princess Flare). Setsuna and Eve also take a backseat in the episode, but before the healer pulls off his nefarious plan against Blade, he fucks Freia and Setsuna again while Eve is under the sheets, erotically disturbed by the moans of their threesome. Just like the previous sex scenes, the uncensored version is the best way to view it. This scene is similar to last episode's threesome, so it's just repetitive sex that doesn't spice up the story, and sexually hot as it looks, it feels kind of boring watching it.

At the pub, Keyara (female Keyaru) entices Blade, and offers her a drink. Keyara refuses, but Blade transfers a sleeping potion via a kiss, and the healer pretends to pass out. While Blade carries Keyaru out of the pub, the father of the girl whom Blade raped attacks her, so Keyara is forced to wake up and fight Blade. However, Blade's sword, Ragnarok, gives her power and allows her to heal from injuries. She knocks out Keyara, who later wakes up tied to Blade's bed at the hotel. Blade tries to rape her, but she becomes horrified to discover that Keyara has a penis. Keyara destroys her bonds and stabs Blade with a poisoned dagger, and when Blade tries to reach Ragnarok to heal, he is stabs her again. Keyara tells her that it's time for revenge.

It's a bit refreshing to see Keyaru's more vulnerable side as Keyara in this episode, considering how overpowered he is. In the beginning of this episode, Keyaru seems worried that the Hero Hawkeye seemingly senses him, so that's why he has to take the stealthier approach when trying to take down his targets. Just like the other prominent antagonists from the Jioral Kingdom (and Keyaru), Blade is abusive, manipulative, and sadistic. Knowing Keyaru's vengeance-fueled intentions and how Blade abused him in the previous timeline, we expect Blade will get what she deserves, but we'll have to wait for the next episode to see her get punished. It may be entertaining to see Keyaru's gender-disguising deception, but because of the lack of plot or character development we've seen in previous episodes, I think Episode 10 is the worst episode of Redo of Healer yet. Not even the threesome scene was enough to spice up the episode.

Hopefully, the last two episodes of Redo of Healer Season 1 will deliver more entertainment value, but for an anime not meant to be taken seriously, I won't set my expectations high.
