Red Velvet Seulgi will flaunt her charisma as a solo artist.

The long wait is always worth it, as Red Velvet continuously offers good news about the group. Although it started as a four-member girl group, the SM Entertainment artist notably works as one with its five members.

Years after its debut, Red Velvet finally expands its fandom by allowing the members to have a solo debut. This time, Seulgi will take over the stage.

Red Velvet Seulgi's Solo Debut

Mydaily first reported SM Entertainment's plans with Seulgi, saying the idol would release her solo album next month. She reportedly began working on it, and fans spotted her filming something after her father sent her a support food truck.

The public then speculated that the food truck went to the filming site of her music video as the vehicle and standing banners said, "Please take good care of our Seulgi" and "Seulgi's dad who's a fool for his daughter."

In response to this, a representative for SM Entertainment has since confirmed the solo debut plans.

"Seulgi is preparing for her first solo album in October. Please look forward to it," the company said.

Details about the solo debut project are not immediately made available to the public.

Red Velvet Seulgi's Career

It will mark her fourth debut following her debuts with Red Velvet, the group's subunit Red Velvet – Irene & Seulgi, and Got the Beat. She will also be the third member to mark a solo debut after Wendy and Joy.

She first conquered the K-pop scene through the girl group starting in 2014. From there, they released hit songs like, Happiness, Red Flavor, Dumb Dumb, Psycho, Feel My Rhythm, Zimzalabim, and Bad Boy, to name a few.

Although she will just have her solo debut next month, Seulgi already worked as a solo artist when she sang the official soundtrack of The Crowned Clown.
