Red Band Trailer for Muppet Crime Movie: The Happytime Murders

News came out last year that Melissa McCarthy was working on an R-rated Muppet film that would have the silliness of Sesame Street mixed with the crime of CSI. Now we have our first Red Band trailer for The Happytime Murders.

Two detectives -- one puppet, one human -- are forced to work together to find a killer who is murdering the former cast of the beloved show "The Happytime Gang."

With the Muppets being back since 2011, it's the perfect time for this movie to come out. It's also worth noting that the film has a star-studded cast. Besides Melissa McCarthy, you have the likes of Elizabeth Banks, Maya Rudolph, and Joel McHale in the mix. TV fans will also recognize Leslie David Baker (Stanley from The Office) and Jimmy O. Yang (Jian Yang from Silicon Valley).

What's more is Brian Henson, son of the famous Jim Henson, is also at the helm of this movie. Besides being the son of the legendary puppeteer, he's also at the helm of several muppet films like the Muppet Christmas Carol and Muppet Treasure Island.

The Happytime Murders is slated for a release on Aug. 17.
