In Re-Main Episode 12, C'mon, Let's Get Started, coming into the second part of the prefectural tournament, it is the most challenging battle that Minato and the team would be facing as it would be the one facing Akira Gakukan, one of the best teams in the country. The whole team puts their hearts out as they are a step closer to winning the game and they battle it out to the end.

While in the game, Minato did a fake that shocked everyone else, someone no other player was expecting. Ushi was the one who powered it through and Minato told him that he sees himself in Ushi. The move of Minato was smart, and it paid off. Despite losing, they did not score a zero.

Real sportsmanship does not mean that the team has to win the game, it means playing with each other in the spirit of camaraderie and acceptance that the ball is round and the odds of winning or losing is always present. The team of Minato may have lost but they won the hearts of the people who believe in them and that is what matters.

Sports bring people closer together, in the case of Minato and the rest of the team, it proved to them that win or lose, they always have each other's backs. After all, their team is still young and in the rebuilding stage. Reaching the second race in the prefectural tournament is already an amazing feat for them.
