What gave Alastor the moniker as the Radio Demon in Hazbin Hotel? The answer here is that when Alastor was still alive, he worked in broadcasting either as a radio show host or radio station owner.
In hell, Alastor continues to broadcast his activities, which is what earned him the title of the Radio Demon.

Is Alastor Based On Anyone in Real Life?
Although it isn't official, there is one Reddit thread dedicated to answering this question. The Redditor shared that Alastor could be based on the Axeman of New Orleans.
The Redditor shares the many similarities between the two: both were serial killers who left behind really gruesome murder scenes.
They also loved music when they were alive. And finally, both were killed in New Orleans. The only thing that makes Alastor different is that he is a cannibal.
Again, this is unofficial and simply based on one Redditor's observation and meticulous research.
