Netflix once again delivered a remarkable K-drama as QueenMaker featured Kim Hee Ae and Moon So Ri’s amazing team-up.

The 11 episode series focuses on "womance" and friendship between two strong individuals despite their different backgrounds.

Helmed by the 2017 series My Sassy Girl director Oh Jin Suk, QueenMaker is all about making the impossible possible and how women reigned in the male-dominated field of politics.

QueenMaker Episode 11 Highlights

The former Eun Sung fixer Hwang Do Hee (Kim Hee Ae) tries to save his former colleague Guk Ji Yeon (Ok Ja Yeob) from possible danger from the EunSung group.

However, she tells Oh Kyung Sook (Moon So Ri) to delay the debate on purpose, no matter what happens.

Apart from saving Ji Yeon, who is also pregnant with Baek Jae Min's (Ryu Soo Young) child, Hwang Do Hee wanted to expose EunSung and the mayoral hopeful for their illegal activities.

After the near-death experiences of both Guk Ji Yeon and Hwang Do Hee, Oh Kyung Sook thought that they got the upper hand over Baek Jae Min’s camp through the information from Hwang Do Hee regarding the construction of the "Heaven of Asia" tower.

However, because his camp has a spy on Oh Kyung Sook’s team, Baek Jae Min’s group has prepared evidence that would support the claim and turn things around for the other camp.

Interestingly, just in the nick of time, Oh Kyung Sook received a surprising update about Guk Ji Yeon, who made a special appearance in her live video.

At the time, Ji Yeon revealed everything about her relationship with Baek Jae Min as well as the EunSung group trying to cover up the flaws amid the election.

Following this, Oh Kyung Sook was proclaimed the mayor, while Baek Jae Min found out that his father was killed by his campaign manager, Carl Yoon (Lee Kyung Young.)

Unfortunately, he was killed by the EunSung Group’s Chairman Son and made it appear as suicide.

In the last scene, Hwang Do Hee, who sacrificed herself for Kyung Sook, was imprisoned but was visited by a mysterious person who seemed to seek her help after learning about Kyung Sook’s win.

QueenMaker Ending Explained

Netflix’s QueenMaker featured an ultimate battle between Baek Jae Min and Oh Kyung Sook for Seoul’s mayoral post.

It showcased how the PR specialist, who was once blinded by power and wealth, turned her back after witnessing the wrongdoings of her bosses.

Despite Hwang Do Hee's loyalty, she still chose to do what’s right.

On the other hand, Oh Kyung Sook’s determination to help people with the system’s injustice and oppression pushed her to run for the post.

As mentioned, QueenMaker is not a typical K-drama but a series that delivers women's empowerment.
