Mnet has officially announced the line-up for Queendom 2. Six new contenders will return to the spotlight to have the chance to make their official comeback in the music scene when they win.

There will be five groups and one soloist who fans will see in Queendom 2. Who will be the next grand winner from Brave Girls to VIVIZ to Cosmic Girls (WJSN) to LOONA to Kep1er to HYOLYN?

Meet the Girls of Queendom 2

Brave Girls debuted in 2011 and was composed of four members, Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji and Yuna. They are best known for their 2017 hit song “Rollin,” which was considered a “late bloomer hit,” starting to top the charts four years after its release.

VIVIZ only has three members, SinB, Eunha and Umji, who used to be part of another girl group, GFriend. After the latter disbanded in 2021, the three girls re-debuted just this year with the song “Beam of Prism.”

Now, they’re trying their luck to conquer the limelight in Queendom 2.

In addition, Cosmic Girls, a.k.a. WJSN, also joins the show after debuting in 2016 with the single “Would You Like?” They’re also behind the songs “I Wish” and “As You Wish,” which were released in 2017 and 2019, respectively.

This group has 13 members, Exy, Seola, Xuan Yi, Bona, Soobin, Luda, Dawon, Eunseo, Cheng Xiao, Mei Qi, Yeoreum, Dayoung and Yeonjung.

These girls debuted in 2018 and are known for the hit songs “Hi High,” “Why Not?” and “PTT (Paint the Town).”

Moreover, Kep1er also joined the list after debuting in January with “First Impact” and “Wa Da Da.” Despite being a rookie, they have set a new record for the highest first-week sales for a K-pop girl group’s debut album.

The group has nine members, Yujin, Chaehyun, Dayeon, Youngeun, Yeseo, Xiaoting, Mashiro, Hikaru and Huening Bahiyyih, and they’re from Mnet’s multinational idol audition show Girls Planet 999.

Lastly, Hyolyn is the only solo act among the six contenders. She used to be part of the girl group Sistar, which was disbanded in 2017.

However, she remained active in the business and dropped a new digital single, “Layin’ Low,” in January.
