Queen Elizabeth was reportedly supposed to be part of Vogue's Forces for Change cover that Meghan Markle guest-edited in September 2019. However, for an unknown reason, the magazine pushed through without Her Majesty.
Did Meghan Markle Snub Queen Elizabeth In Vogue Cover
Royal and entertainment correspondent Neil Sean spoke about the Vogue September 2019 issue that Meghan Markle guest-edited. It featured numerous women who inspired Markle after they brought positive changes to the world, including Greta Thunberg, Jane Fonda, Laverne Cox, Salma Hayek, Jameela Jamil, Gemma Chan and more.
The issue also included an interview between Markle and former first lady Michelle Obama and Prince Harry's interview with conservationist Jane Goodall.
"What's interesting here, we can tell you first and exclusively on the show, that it was suggested by the Vogue team that perhaps, that Queen Elizabeth should in fact be included," Sean said on his YouTube channel. "Now, here's where it gets sketchy because there are a few people now that have left that particular publication who are willing to speak, so thank you to them."
Those individuals reportedly didn't have a great time working for Vogue. The commentator speculated that one of the reasons was probably Markle's alleged demanding nature.
He repeated that the Queen was supposed to be on the cover and the editor, himself, Edward Enninful, reportedly wanted it.
"You know, it was intonated as I say, that Queen Elizabeth II should be included and I have been told, as ever, we have to say allegedly, directly from the editor himself, Edward Enninful, but for some mysterious reason that wasn't simply to be the case," Sean continued.
Several netizens reacted to Sean's video, and one said that "not featuring Her Majesty the Queen was a very deliberate snub."
How Did Queen Elizabeth React After Learning About The Alleged Snub
According to Sean, Meghan Markle did the task behind their back, which reportedly made it "nauseating and annoying."
"How upset was our gracious monarch?" Sean asked before he continued, "Well, apparently she was rather miffed and a little bit upset."
Sean recounted the efforts that the Queen made to reach out to Markle and offer her friendship to Prince Harry's wife. For instance, the Queen invited the Duchess of Sussex to join her on the royal train when they visited Cheshire together, just weeks after her royal wedding.
The commentator said, including the Queen on the cover of the worldwide selling magazine would have been a great way to acknowledge the monarch or return the favor. However, apparently, Markle missed it.

"That point was truly the point when our gracious monarch, Her Majesty the Queen, realized that indeed, Meghan was her own force of change and going to have to be watched very closely," Sean said.
Despite Sean's claim, the Queen and Markle seemed to have maintained a good relationship. The Duchess of Sussex has nothing but praises when it comes to the Queen. She even told Oprah Winfrey that "The queen has always been wonderful to me."
Meanwhile, Her Majesty has remained true to her words that Prince Harry and Markle will always be "much loved family members." She even invited the royal couple in June when she celebrated her Platinum Jubilee.
